Delete your ScamAlert data
- Open ScamAlert while connected to the internet.
- Tap Need help (or the Help tab), then Privacy and your data. During first setup, tap Privacy.
- Tap Delete all data, then confirm Delete all.
This removes saved checks, your trusted person, app-owned temporary files, and the installation's related ScamAlert service records. If deletion does not finish, reconnect and try again. Some data may already have been removed. Use this control before uninstalling; uninstalling alone does not send a deletion request to our service.
Turn off optional ad tracking
In iPhone Settings, open Privacy & Security → Tracking and turn off ScamAlert, if listed. Declining tracking does not change your free check, paid features, or ability to restore purchases. Apple's privacy-preserving aggregate attribution can still operate.
Deleting ScamAlert data does not change Apple's tracking permission, reset content-free attribution markers, or erase information already sent to Meta. For help with provider-held records, email us. Meta also explains its controls in Meta's Privacy Policy.
Stop sharing new checks with AI
Open Privacy and your data and turn off AI sharing. This stops new AI checks; it does not retract content already sent. Saved results and local help remain available. AI-sharing permission is separate from ad-tracking permission.
Subscriptions and provider records
Deletion does not cancel your Apple subscription. To stop renewal, open iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → ScamAlert. Purchase records, provider records, and backups may remain under the retention and legal limits described in our Privacy Policy.
